Misadventures in MHz

Hello, my name is Jim, KE8CAN, from Cleveland, OH. I recently started on a new adventure into the world of amateur radio, and I plan to share some of my experiences on this blog.

I have been interested in radio technology in general, and ham radio in particular, since I was kid. Life always seemed to get in the way of actually doing anything about it. I finally decided to take the plunge and started studying the rules, regulations, practices, and technical material needed to become licensed. Fortunately, with my background, I took to the material pretty well.

So now I have a newly-minted amateur radio operator general-class license. Now I can finally start exploring the bandwidth, and maybe I’ll get the chance to talk to some of you out there.
